Asturias on Spain's northern coast has 73 official bathing sites, all of which have been assessed. Of these, 62 out of 73 are rated 'excellent', 7 as good, 2 as sufficient and 2 as poor. The character is strongly coastal: 66 sites are located along the coast, while 7 are transitional waters between sea and inland areas. No lakes or rivers are included.
