Franche-Comté in eastern France has 30 bathing sites, of which 29 have been officially assessed. 21 out of 29 sites are rated 'excellent', 4 as 'good', and 4 as 'poor'. The region features predominantly lake bathing – 21 sites – alongside 9 river locations. The landscape is characterised by forested hills, plateaus and calm inland waters typical of the Jura region.
