Tuscany has 442 bathing sites, of which 440 have been officially assessed. The water quality results are outstanding: 411 out of 440 sites are rated excellent, 26 are rated good. The region is predominantly coastal – 434 bathing sites are located along the coast, while 8 are at lakes. There are no river or transitional water bathing sites.
