The Warmińsko-Mazurskie region in northeastern Poland is characterised by an extensive lake landscape. Of 55 recorded bathing spots, 37 have been officially assessed. Of these, 35 out of 37 receive the top rating 'excellent' – around 95 %. The vast majority of sites are lakes (53 out of 55), with two river bathing spots.
